Case study / Rental and E-Commerce
Construction Equipment Rental Website: Rental and Online Shop in One Place
BuildRent rents out excavators and scaffolding and sells Hilti tools. We built a website where both businesses work in their own way, and brought a site that had been completely closed to search engines back into search.
Project in brief
BuildRent (buildrent.ge) is a Tbilisi company that rents out construction equipment and scaffolding and sells Hilti cordless tools. In 2026 ITLover built its website on WordPress with WooCommerce, Elementor and Rank Math SEO: rental works through a price request, while tools are sold online. The site had been fully closed to search engines; ITLover found and fixed the mistake, and indexing was restored.
Challenge
Why rental did not fit an ordinary online shop
BuildRent needed two different businesses on one website: renting out equipment and scaffolding, and selling tools. They work differently and do not fit into a single template.
- Rental is not completed with a cart and payment: the customer requests a price and the company gets in touch
- Data on equipment and scaffolding was scattered across manufacturer PDF catalogs, RISE certificates and supplier documents
- WordPress had the โDiscourage search enginesโ option switched on, so the whole site carried noindex and robots.txt blocked search with Disallow

Solution
How rental and sales came together on one website
We split the site into two separate flows that share one design and one menu. Rental equipment, the Sunward SWL3230, Doosan DX225LC, CAT M313C and JCB JS175W, as well as the PERI UP Easy 67 and HAKI Ram scaffolding systems, lives in its own Catalog post type. These pages have no cart: the customer requests a price or contacts the company directly.
Seven Hilti cordless tools, for example the TE 4-22, AG 4S-22 and SF 4-22, are WooCommerce products and are sold with a regular order. You can see both parts on the BuildRent website.
The site is built on WordPress and Elementor and hosted on Hostinger. If you are planning a similar system, see our web development service and our website pricing.

Technical side
Five decisions that shaped the site structure
Each point answers a specific requirement of BuildRent's business.
A separate Catalog type for rental
We did not enter equipment and scaffolding as WooCommerce products. A separate post type keeps rental apart from the shop's price, stock and cart fields.
A price request instead of payment
From a rental page the customer goes to a price request or a contact page, so a rental order starts with direct communication with the company.
WooCommerce only for Hilti
We switched on shop features only where there is a real sale: seven Hilti models with a cart and an order. For a different use of WooCommerce, see the Tokyo House delivery platform case study.
Data from manufacturer sources
We collected specifications from the HAKI and PERI catalogs, RISE certificates and supplier documents, and moved them onto the catalog pages.
Restoring indexing
The โDiscourage search enginesโ option had set a global noindex and a Disallow in robots.txt. We found the problem, fixed it, and now manage SEO with Rank Math.
